The free event will take place at Braidwood City Hall on December 9.
"How to Identify a Public Threat" is presented by Patriot Tactics & Solutions LLC, an official partner of the U.S. Conceal and Carry Association (USCCA).
According to the USCCA, the presentation will teach attendees to "recognize the signs of a potential threat and create a plan to protect your family." It will demonstrate ways to prevent an attack and what further steps students can take in their training. It will also feature a Q&A session with USCCA-Certified Instructors.
Attendees are advised to bring materials for note-taking and any questions they might have.
Braidwood City Hall is located at 141 W Main St, Braidwood. The Monday night event runs from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
